В русских месяцесловах эта память иногда передавалась как память «святого Стефана Плакидийского», однако речь идёт о храмовом воспоминании, а не об отдельном святителе с таким именованием.
History of the dedication of the Church of the Holy Protomartyr Stephen in the Placidian Palace
On January 11 according to the Old Calendar, the Greek tradition commemorates the dedication of the church of the holy Apostle, Protomartyr, and Archdeacon Stephen in the Placidian Palace of Constantinople. In Russian menologia this commemoration was sometimes rendered as the memory of "Saint Stephen of Placidian," but it refers to a church commemoration, not to a separate hierarch bearing that name.

Плакидийским назывался дворцовый комплекс в Константинополе, связанный с именем Галлы Плакидии, дочери императора Феодосия Великого. В этом районе находился храм, посвящённый святому апостолу, первомученику и архидиакону Стефану.
В греческом церковном календаре 11 января по старому стилю отмечается воспоминание освящения этой церкви. Поэтому корректное содержание памяти относится к храму святого Стефана в Плакидийском дворце, а не к житию отдельного «Стефана Плакидийского». Такое уточнение важно, поскольку краткая календарная запись может быть понята как имя самостоятельного святого.
History of the commemoration of the Church of Saint Stephen in the Placidian Palace
The Placidian area was a palace complex in Constantinople associated with Galla Placidia, the daughter of Emperor Theodosius the Great. In this district there was a church dedicated to the holy Apostle, Protomartyr, and Archdeacon Stephen.
In the Greek church calendar, January 11 according to the Old Calendar marks the remembrance of the dedication of this church. The proper content of the commemoration therefore concerns the church of Saint Stephen in the Placidian Palace, not the life of a separate "Stephen of Placidian." This clarification is important because a brief calendar entry may otherwise be understood as the name of an independent saint.
